What if I want to check-in sports equipment?
All sporting equipment must be properly packed.
Qatar Airways allows extra baggage allowance only for the below listed sporting equipments [Categorised below: A - F ]. Regardless of class of travel, an additional complimentary 10Kgs will be allowed over and above the baggage allowance as stated on your e-ticket , except for flights to and from North & South America where an additional complimentary allowance of 1 piece ( not exceeding 23Kgs) for sporting equipment is applicable. Only one sporting equipment type per passenger is allowed as additional free baggage allowance.
If the above mentioned free baggage allowance is exceeded, normal excess baggage rates shall be applied. To calculate excess baggage rates, kindly follow the link below.

NOTE: Occupational safety rules require that the checked baggage weight for passengers does not exceed 32 kg (70 lb) per piece. It should be noted that this 'physical' baggage weight limitation is an issue relating to Occupational ***spam*** Safety and is not related to baggage allowance and charges, which is a separate subject matter.
(A) Golf Equipment:
A golf bag normally consists of a set of clubs and a pair of golf shoes.
(B) Bicycle:
Tires must be deflated.
(C) Ski Equipment:
Snow Ski equipment:
-One pair of skis, one pair of ski poles, one pair of boots or
-One snow board, one pair of boots
Water Ski equipment:
- One pair of standard water skis or-
- One slalom water ski
(D) Scuba Diving Equipment:
Which consists of suit, vest, socks, mask, shoes, torch, webs, knife, oxygen cylinder and a regulator. Diving cylinders must be empty.
(E) Surf board, Wind surfing and Kayaks:
The board needs to be less than 3 meters. Mast / Sail must be collapsible.
(F) Fishing Equipment:
Cannot exceed two rods, one reel, one landing net, one pair of fishing boots, and one fishing tackle box.

Further to the above, please note Qatar Airways will accept your Surfboard as baggage provided that it is less than 3 metres (10 feet) in length and the mast/sail is detachable and collapsible. Incase the surfer board you intend to travel ***spam*** exceeds this allowed dimension in length, then it can be considered to be carried as cargo.

II) Surfing equipment and kayaks must be properly packed by the owner. If this is not the case, attach a Limited Release Tag.
III) Affix a Fragile sticker.
IV) Do not load on baggage belt at the check-in.

Je ne devrais rien payer. J'éspère ne pas avoir de mauvaise surprise une fois au guichet ...
Je vais également essayer d'appeler air caraibes pour voir si différence il y a, mais ça ne répond pas pour le moment.
